Yes about the phone to share and save routes. I think this has some potential as a good gadget. I use a ton of garmin stuff and like that they make their stuff work together. I am assuming you will need to use the explore app or earthmate app for the routes if you want to share them or download new ones etc. Similar on the I reach explorer. Might be worth keeping an eye on.

The folks at Garmin are no dummies. They have realized the UTV market is the next money maker after the 'lifestyle wearable' folks.

$800 for the TREAD
$150 for the BC 40 Wireless Camera
$500 for the PowerSwitch

The good news is the radio looks like it will be compatible with any MURS radio. The bad news is it looks like the TREAD device relies on MURS to transmit the location.

This will be a fun product to watch. Lets hope Garmin has the bugs worked out at the initial release better than they did the Monterra and Montana...
