Howdy! I do not like scissor chairs or popup chairs because they make it hard for me to lean forward when eating (I've got a hip implant). I would love some kind of foldable bench that I can just set up. Doesn't have to be ultra-light or anything, metal and wood would be OK, or plastic and metal tubing. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd like the bench to be at least 18-20" high.

Not exactly what your looking for but I have found a Yeti bucket works great. Right height and size keeps my drinks handy to boot so I don't mind the space it takes up. Also since I have the drinks I can keep tabs on qty left.

That's a good idea! I could probably also use my Yeti knockoff cooler for this purpose.

I tested with a five gallon bucket with the gamma seal lid, it's sturdy, but too low to the ground. Let's see what ideas others have!

I forgot entirely about directors chairs.

My friend recommended these as well, which would allow me to lean forward over a table and still kick my leg out.

I really liked the idea of the aluminum work platform. It'll have dual purpose, I can use that around the house as well.
