first remote trip planned to Ozark St Francis National Forest

many thanks to @MidwestVoyager for sharing some map info We are planning first remote camping trip. Have truck and gear sorted and looking forward to relaxing and admiring some nice scenery and reading a book. here is snap shot of location I will try and keep working to get better with Gaia to share routes and points of interest. Working up to do trip to Colorado in Aug/Sep

Please be sure to post up an after action report when you get back if the trip is coming up soon. We were looking to take a trip to Falling Water Falls and that general area at some point this summer, but the FS website says that Richland Creek is closed due to COVID, so I don't even know if there will be anywhere to camp. I haven't been able to find any decent info on dispersed camping in the area, so I'm holding off going until I'm sure I can find a place to set up without too much trouble. I'd hate to drive 9 hours only to find out I'll have to get a motel room....

looks like you are correct some areas still closed. will shift dates as want to take trip and do some scouting for other areas nearby. moving trip this weekend to closer location near glade top in Missouri
