Recently bought my first 4x4 and it came equipped with brand new AT2s. Because there is so much life left, I am not planning on replacing them until needed. I am just curious if there is anything I should be aware of before taking them on any trails.

Side note, I will not be doing any rock crawling or super technical terrain.

Thanks in advance!

I love the Destination AT/2. I think they are underrated. I had them on my Tacoma and my Isuzu. They never let me down. They do lack a bit on ice though, but so do most tires. I have a new project vehicle that I will be starting soon and I plan to use the same tire on it as well.

The good:
They air down nice. I have run them as low as 10 psi
Life expectancy is good. Not great, but good.
Good traction on dirt roads, gravel, and wash boards.

The Bad:
Poor performance on ice in sub-zero temps, in snow they work great, but ice seems to defeat them
They tend to not ride flat to the ground, check your PSI regularly. An inch wide strip down the middle seems to be the target wear point. With proper inflation it isn't an issue. Long trips can heat them up and cause the PSI to rise causing this.
