Fall colors

So we are looking for some recommendations...if y'all had 3 days total(maybe 4) and were leaving from Savannah GA, where would you go to see some good fall color changing? We want to do this outing the weekend before Halloween possibly. Or maybe the weekend after, not sure which would be better. One day I won't live in the swampy arm pit of the southeast lol!!! Thanks in advance!!

Cherohala Skyway (Rt. 165) N.C.
Lake Jocassee area in NE Ga./S.C.
Smoky Mtn. National Park
Expect large crowds where ever you go. If you are planning to stay in a campground I would advise making reservations now. We made ours 4 weeks ago. Peak season looks around 3rd week in Oct.

Well @Lil Bear you can always find beautiful fall colors throughout most of TN, WV, and KY. Some of the most beautiful views through the Smokey Mountains, especially in the fall. I am a huge fan of the entire area around Gatlinburg the first week or so of Nov, so I would suggest the week after Halloween!

Well @Lil Bear you can always find beautiful fall colors throughout most of TN, WV, and KY. Some of the most beautiful views through the Smokey Mountains, especially in the fall. I am a huge fan of the entire area around Gatlinburg the first week or so of Nov, so I would suggest the week after Halloween!

Oh wow! I never knew there was a such thing as a fall prediction map! That is pretty amazing! I don't get out much lol. I didn't even think about WV and such. From what you and Flipper are saying I may plan the trip for the weekend following Halloween. Thanks!!
