IMG_4073.JPG Hey everyone...

So we are 24000 miles into our world trip, hanging around Boulder, CO for a few weeks. I got to thinking that it's perhaps time to fit up a winch on our little Quigley bus.

I was wondering if anyone in the area would have a line on a welder/ basic fab set up. Living on a veterans budget while living on the road full time does not a lot a ton of cash for fancy shops to build things for us.

Just need to run a few beads to mount the front hitch mount up.

It would be great to meet up other members as well.

Right on, thanks for the info. Was more hoping to link up with another member who just has a home spot, throw them a few bucks and some beers.

Just looking to fab a winch plate and mount it to the factory steel. Quick and dirty.

I just stumbled on this post. If you have not moved on and are still looking for access to a small welding setup in the Boulder Co area. You might call Cathy and Johnny G. They have a small welding shop called Rose Metal in Westminster Colorado. (720-373-5759) I've taken a couple of classes from them in the last year and found the prices to be affordable. They have a Plasma cutter and a few MIG units as well as an Oxy torch and all of the grinders, safety equipment etc...

If you find your way up to Montana and still looking let me know and I'll call a buddy and see if he's down to swap a few drinks for some shop time.
