Advocate III
Getting my f150 4x4 built up. I put a 3 inch Rough country lift, 285/70R17 Milestar petagonia MT tires and a fab four bumper with a 12000 lb badlands winch. I took it up a trail today and it did better than expected.

Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
A proper set of tires will get you farther than any other modification.
Lifting is important for making sure that the tires are the only thing that touches the ground!
That's not a fancy setup but that's exactly the best way to keep it. Simple, reliable, all fun and no sweat.
