Does anyone have experience or expertise in resin and or canvas to know if building a truck camper with canvas over wood siding and roof would hold up to the elements? I was thinking maybe treating the canvas with resin or some other weather proofing?
Epoxy over canvas siding?

While doing my research on building my teardrop trailer I had watched a video on you tube & a girl had built her own teardrop & it was siding covered in canvas then coated with I believe fiberglass resin 2 part. Looked pretty nice. Do not have any clue how it would hold up or such. Good luck with your project.
I would look towards strip built canoes and kayaks for info. Your idea is solid, with the exception that the epoxy resin has no UV resistance, so you would need to cover in either paint or a marine grade varnish that has a UV blocker.
There are some videos on you tube of people doing that. I think they used an oil based paint on it to make it waterproof, but it has been a while since I watched those videos.
Maybe the resin wouldn’t be necessary if my concern is waterproofing because a wood frame would provide the structure.
