I'm installing a switch and relay to power my compressor which is mounted under the hood. I want to power the switch with a switched source to prevent any possibility of the compressor coming on without the engine running. Where is the best place to access switched power under the hood?

Under the hood, I’ve used a fuse splitter and ran it into the fuse box. Then just used butt connections to the switch. You can use any fuse source that requires your truck running.

Thanks Free-Roemer. I was hoping to find a source without going into the fuse box. I'm not finding one and have posted this same question on three different forums. So far no one has a better suggestion.
