Not sure what you mean by accessible?
Cda national forest has many trails to run.
You can run:

The "High Drive" from bunco road to Clark Fork

Mt Coeur D'alene, but even mid size trucks will get new pinstripes

Lunch peak and Char falls (Trestle creek north end of the lake)

Northern sections of the IDBDR.

Cooks lake (Naples)

Roman Nose (Naples)

Baldy mountain (Sandpoint)

I push a lot of branches out of the way with my 4runner so expect some pinstripes on that full sized truck here in North Idaho.

Thanks for the info. Not to worried about pinstripes. I'm going to have the sides wrapped at some point so I don't have to care at all. My truck isn't that much wider than the newer
4runners.

I run a 2000 4runner. A bit more mid sized. I hear that have grown over the years.

For stuff down near you take a look at the Mt CDA area. There are some nice views and trails. I like to look at the topo maps, pick a Mt they the road looks like it goes to and call that a destination. Typically you can't go wrong sitting on top of a Mt in north Idaho. Post up a rally point and you'll most likely get a couple takers for a trail ride.

New to Overlanding and the forum. Looking to get out and meet some people and learn more about offroading. Is anyone planning on attending the panhandle Overlanding on Oct. 2-4? Was thinking about heading up to Sandpoint this weekend any suggestions?

Welcome Joshua,
I am the Northwest Director. @Sandpoint Steve is your closest Member Representative.

Roman Nose looks promising for a weekend trip.

check out Member Meetups and filter the Northwest to find events near you. Overland Bound By Region Northwest has a lot of information for our region as well.
I look forward to seeing you on the trails.

When are you planning on being up here?

Roman nose is an easy drive, but a great little destination. The last 1/4 mile to Cooks lake is a little technical, Not sure your wheelbase will be your friend there. Made it up easy in the 4Runner.

Lunch peak and Char Falls are a great little ride too.

Ran this last Tuesday. The mining town remains were pretty cool.
Link to Idamont mine and Black Mountain

Baldy Mountain is a quick run too. DO NOT attempt the "02 Hard Descent" Almost didn't make it in the 4runner. your truck would not fit. It turns into a quad trail. with hard breakover angles too.

I'm going to have to get some GPX files for old mine sites from you.

There are 2 overnight trips coming up. Check the rally point page or the calendar for details.

Our season is quickly going to come to an end. Get out while you can and enjoy a camping trip.
