Eastern national forests - two weeks

Trying to plot a route along the Shenandoah National Park, George Washington and Jefferson National Forest, Cherokee National Forest, and Nantahala National Forest. for about two weeks. Any recommendation for nice trails and camping spots will be greatly appreciated.


Taking a friend's 4Runner (upgraded tires but that's about it) plus going alone with the kids so I'm not looking into crazy rock crawling or muddy trails as back home (Australia)


Is there someone done it and willing to share?
