Ok have a weird question or maybe it’s because I am new to overlanding...
I see a lot of people run either a decked system or something similar and then mount drop slide to it to bring the fridge down to a more manageable height and that’s a great solutions but....
Based on a discussion with some members on another forum, a Gladiator with the lift/tire combo I want to get will have a open tailgate height of 40”. Add another 20” for fridge height (average) and at 60” or 5’ to the top of fridge. Wife is 5’ tall, so the fridge will be as tall as her...
Has anyone mounted a fridge drop slide to bed floor or base plate? Do they offer extended length slides? I figure a drop down slide would be ideal, but the length of the tailgate will be the issue to over come.
I have though about using something like a cargo slide or making my own, to get past the tailgate before using the drop down slide.
Any thoughts suggestions or advice? Besides a step ladder
