I know the last post was a while ago but for the fun of the post .

Take a 2008-2012 toyota tundra, swap in a 4.5 d4d v8 with allison transmission and an atlas double tcase. Gear it for cruising at 80mph in 6th and use the cases to drop your crawl to a snail pace.
Use the left over 20-30 k to build a custom pop top back drop camper with full height shower and foldout kitchen with sleeping area up top. Would also be nice to have the gvwr changed with the mods as suspension would need to be modified to handle the unit if it got too top heavy to be useful offroad .

This is my dream vehicle. I know they have lots of shall we say character! But, I still want one! 1964 Land Rover! I would even change my screen name to: Benzover! Haha! Benz.2DC7117E-6C8A-4DFC-B84C-D930C7A2D55D.jpeg70EB2A65-ACEF-41A9-8FC9-3D099EF34A53.jpeg

I'll change mine. I'd honestly be pretty happy a vehicle that was as versatile as a 4runner but all-electric and a 300+-mile range.

I would keep my current rig and do a full frame off redo. Change the power plant out for the Cummins r2.8 and a full suspension redo

One of those super modular Unimog 419 rigs! (aka Frieghtliner SEE) Just about the whole thing is configurable... would be so cool to set it up with a camper too. Turbo straight 6 diesel, lockers all around, portal axles, 40" tires, 4 wheel disc brakes, onboard air & hydro, even has a surprising top speed of ~50mph. The 419's full kit of hydraulic tools include a bucket, excavator, blade, forks, crane, chainsaw, impacts, jackhammer, rock drill, shears, & more (many of which are packed into the rear toolboxes). The ultimate way to clear/create trails with everything all in one little package! Then swap out the rear tray for the camper & go explore :)

The 419 all kitted out:

One thing I did not add in my post about wanting the old Land Rover, was that the rest of the money would be in reserve for repairs first, then fuel to get out and have fun exploring! Vance.
