As I build my rig up I am trying to (so far so good) do everything on my own, am not a mechanic or any tradesman but I like to learn and do so quickly. YouTube has been a Godsend, replaced my suspension, radiator, heater core (ugh that job), idler pulley and a few things just by reading some How-To's and YouTube vids...This brings me to the current rabbit hole...Hydro-Dipping

I recently bought some OEM spare rims, now am debating on doing a carbon fiber hydro-dip...slipped further down the hole...maybe the same on the Molle panels I'm going to build...yet further down...the overhead console I'm building...the drawer system...damn you RABBIT HOLES!!!!

Welcome to our world.
When you get further, you will have to upgrade your tool inventory. It wont stop there either.

MY tool inventory is pretty good, plus my old man is a retired mechanic with an 8ft long 5 ft high Snap On toolbox..from which I stole his doubles---don't tell 'em

Once I get my news rims/tires and possibly replace tie rod ends I am ready to hit some dirt, been a slow build but a fun one

I am seriously now debating on hydro-dipping my to be built overhead console, would need some practice time to see if possible to get lines straight for carbon fiber

I like doing the work on my Jeep myself as it gives me the knowledge I'd need out on the trail. And ya youtube is great. The dipping looks cool but not my cup of tea, hope you have fun though.
