When the family is with me, I don't. When I'm alone, I trust my gut.
I've met some interesting folks, and I've saved a guy's life. I've had to keep the windows down because they haven't showered in weeks, and I've had some good conversations.
I'm just paying it forward. When I was a GI, stationed in Germany, and totally lost, a local national picked me up and went out of his way to get me back to my post.
There is still some good in the world. It may not look and smell like I do, but it's still out there.
