Hi Folks, Got done with a conference in Denver and need to get to Phoenix by Mon afternoon. Was hoping to do the trek staying off pavement, but I realize that this may be too short a time for that. However, has anyone done this before completely off pavement and I can perhaps choose a few sections based on time and do as much as possible off pavement. From timing and type of trails perspective is it better to go through NM and then in to AZ or perhaps through UT in to AZ. I have a 2011 stock LR4 and I've done places like Back Bear Pass, Imogene Pass, Hells Revenge etc. I know this may be last minute, and I'm not expecting many to see this right away, but in case anyone does and can respond, would be much appreciated.

Thanks and Happy Overlanding!

Thank you Tritonl. Going to spend the night near Salida CO tonight and head out to Ouray in the morning to do the Alpine Loop trail. Then more than likely head out to Four Corners. I’ll look at your suggested Western Trail and see if I could do that. Will need to figure this out on the go. Thanks again.

AZ portion of the Great Western Trail is on the east edge of the Grand Canyon. It then joins in SW Utah. Probably too far away from where you are. AZ BDR similar area.

You could pick sections.

Don’t think you have enough time to make it to AZ on dirt.
