I have the defender series but idk what model and I love it, just put the axe and shovel on it with the adapter from them! Also bought the spare tire mount which I need to mount but love the rack and got it off craigslist for $100!

well i got it..it's mounted and seems pretty strong..i wish the bracket kit would have come with 8 mounting brackets instead of 6 since there is 8 positions on the rack..over all it looks awesome and seems like it will do the job nicely

Smittybilt makes great products and the defender series rack is no exception. I have the longer version on my Excursion and it works very well. They carry a large variety of accessories from Hi-lift hangers to LED light bar mounts; anything you might need. I would recommend without hesitation.

i went ahead and ordered it..i purchased it from a local offroad shop..i ended up paying 380 shipped to my door.i was a little disappointed in the mounting kit...it came with 6 L brackets instead of 8..i feel it needed 8 at least aestic wise..saying that it was easy to put on..once all 6 rack brackets bolted on my factory slide rails it's very very secure.it looks great and i've already used it to go get some lumber from home depot and it was as awesome as i had anticipated!ill get a picture one of these days..this model is a partial flat partial raised model and it does look killer on the Commander

Nice! You guys will get a lot of great use and abuse out that rack. I know I am. Mine de-limbed a fir tree this past weekend by getting wedged its limbs in between my ARB awning and the top Defender Rack rail...the tree lost!

Those ARB camp chairs are NICE! They are very sturdy and rated for heavier guys like myself, and have awesome positive locks so when you are stumblin' around the camp fire chasing your next beer, it doesn't want to fold up on ya. :yum:
