Danish 110" LR Defender

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance this week and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

This is our 110" Land Rover Defender..
The daily name is "Turbussen" which is the danish word for TourBus.
We are My girlfriend and myself, and my dog. And some times our 3 kids.
We use the Defender for weekend trips, scouting trips, and family holidays.
Weekend trips to Sweden is at the moment the favorit overlanding exercise, as it takes about 3 hours and we are in the forest of southern Sweden.

We are trying to build a map of amazing spots to spend the night.

Long term plans are:
Overlandtrip around the baltic sea (2-3 weeks)
Overlandtrip around Norway, Sweden Finland

We owned it for about 10 months now, and made some upgrades to it.

We´ll start from the beginning.

Nov 2017 - As we bought it. - 2 Inch lift, Raised Airintake, Snow Scoop, for heater intake, Rocksliders.

In the spring i decided that the stock radio, and lack of switches wasn´t cutting it.
I Need switches for the winch controls, winch power, led lights all over..
The car had a mudstuff consol alreeady, but i ordered a blank canvas and started my own build.

Layed out the graphics.

After 10 hours work, i finished...

Think its an OK result, the finish could be better....

Being a defender the shift lever clearense is MINIMAL... Like les then 5mm... and a quick shift will make my hand hit the display.

Winch Mount...

The winch, is mounted in a Masai Winch Bumper made to fit an Aircon fittede defender...

The Aicon makes the front stick out furterh 5cm.. So the bumper comes with 10cm extenders..

Original Bumper setup, with the cooler stacks behind.

No Bumper (looks naked to me :-) )
