Although I feel like a rookie, I actually did a lot of wheeling in the Carolinas'......45 years ago! My new ride is a 2018 4Runner, TRD ORP. Since purchasing the end of April, have done a lot of mods, ie, heavy duty Apache/Dobinson front and rear, JBA upper and lower, front and rear bumpers, Warn winch, swing outs, OVS 180 awning and privacy tent. Kitchen is close to finish, as well as water and water heater, and IceCo 60L. Have done some lighting, but need to think the rest out a bit! I've done about half the work, but as I'm no spring chicken, the heavy stuff I've farmed out. Still researching and saving up for the electrical, so in meantime we'll have an Eco Flo to help out. I'll have to take a couple of dry runs in and around Dallas before I take the kids out.

I sure would like to locate some local/regional get togethers to possible meet up with some potential travel partners. A couple of pre teens to run with my granddaughters would be awsome.

There’s a few of us that typically meet monthly for dinner in weatherford. Everyone was busy with summer so we decided to skip a few meets and we’ll resume in a month or two. Keep an eye on the rally points.

There’s some Facebook groups like cavalry overland that meet every Saturday morning. They have been gathering over 200 people per meet from what I’ve seen in person and online.

Welcome to the group!
If you make it down to the San Antonio area let me know. We have members from your area down to this way and all over Texas. My daughter comes with me often (she’s even a meme her here) she’s 18 now but would have a good time with yours.
A lot of us meet up at the Texas avid outdoors expo in October.
