what aspects of overlanding interest you?
Building my rig has been a lot of fun. It seems like an ongoing project that will never end (intentionally). I geek out on gear and specs. I don’t need one of everything but some quality things that will last are more desirable.

My “kid in the candy store” moments happen in nature and geography. Hiking down to the sandy shore of the Rio Grande, smelling mountain air, hearing wind whistling through the pines, being in awe of views at overlooks, etc. Never gets old. I’m always thinking about the next trip! I’ve been to two Expo’s and interacting with the community is a lot of fun. It’s more than just a group of like minded people.

What is a vet fest? There was one in round rock yesterday. I couldn’t find any real information about it.

Sounds familiar. Lol. I approach my teardrop the same way. Eleven years in, and I’m still finishing and improving it.

Is your meet up sort of a "rigs and coffee" type event? If I am reading this correctly it runs for a couple of hours at Old Settlers Park every first Saturday? No camping, right?
Correct. Just a meet up at Old Settlers. However, there may be times we decide to do a ride or camp elsewhere on one of those days, like what's happening on Dec 7. And, usually those that can't make the trip still meet at the park.
