Hi,
Another DIY project I did some time ago and I am happy to share with you.
I still had some fabric left over from building the camping interior of the Landy and wanted to try something with it. Namely, something that gives the vehicle interior an individual look and where I wanted to test my sewing skills. Since the cockpit is rather black, the sun visors in original mouse light grey looked a bit out of place. What to do? Have them upholstered? Oh no, I still have the said fabric from the interior, so I'll try it myself... Let´s go!
Ironed the fabric so that everything is nice and tight:
Measurement and cutting the fabric:
Modifed the sun visors slightly and disassembled the holders:
Sewed inside out as far as I could:
Then turned inside out:
Pulled the fabric over the sun visor:
Sewed the rest up and assembled the holders:
And the result:
This was not so difficult. It is now for a while in the rig and am happy every time I get in the rig about this little DIY project. A nice splash of color in the cockpit I think.
