90 Days to go until the big adventure begins.

Lots to arrange and sort before the start. Everything seemed to be in the distant future but now Christmas and New Year is over everything seems much closer and imminent.

We are a mixture of nervous and excited, nervous in that we ask ourselves are we mad to be just stepping out of our comfortable lives and everything we know and excited about what the trip will hold and ultimately what our future will hold.

We will update our stories as we go and hopefully pass on our successes and failures to inspire and promote an alternative life style.

Watch this space !

Hi Ron currently we are selling up and extricating ourselves from our comfortable life here in the Cyprus.
On the 3rd of April we will be packed up into our shirt wheel base Land Rover Defender and converted ex military trailer and head off to North Cyprus and a ferry to Turkey.
We will then be travelling indefinitely through Turkey, Europe, Scandinavia and U.K.
We have no time limits to keep to.
We will be living out of our Defender and Trailer, camping as much as possible and trying to see as much of each country as we can as we travel through.
It's something we have both dreamed of doing for the past 10 years and finally we are in a position to give it a go.
When we get to UK the thinking is Africa which is our ultimate dream trip.

Africa should be kick ass to drive in.. But starting in Europe might be a good idea.. better infrastructure and you can at least get to grips with live on the road first.

Might see you guys pass by the Netherlands on the trip then sooner or later :) be sure to wave then ;)
