Hey guys, I sold my truck and trailer a few years ago, and it was a f350 cclb and a m101a3 trailer... so no end in space. When out will the misses I just took... well...everything.
Now I have a Colorado with the 5’2 bed (those 2 inches are important) and will finish converting a trailer this summer..:maybe.
In the mean time I am having an in bed rack made to hold a pair of spares, jack, shovel, fuel, water, maxtrax, Fire entiguisher, arb dual
Compressor box in a storage box, AND a spot for a good cooler.
This is all going to be set up on a slide for an eventual rack for a rtt for when the misses comes with or if I need more of a tent than my ground one.
And then The trailer for even longer trips will hold a fridge and the kitchen sink.
But back to the 5’2 bed, what size cooler will be enough, or is recommended for 2 day, max 3 night camping for one. I’m assuming my camping partners will have their own storage.
The first design round of the bed rack was based around a yeti 50. That’s not the cooler I’ll go with, but that’s the size that initially fit. We can move some stuff, possibly, or eliminate something if i have to get more cooler space... but everything is important at the moment and space is at a premium.
I’m having a hard time picturing a yeti 50 even after looking at the specs.
What SIZE coolers are you guys running for basic 2 day excursions... or 3 day max?
