Hey Jason - welcome to OLB.

Cool review. I love my Partner 22 and have used it all over America in all sorts of environments, from desert to lakeside. Made originally for river outfitters, the casing is actually made of high-grade 5052 aluminum. The grills are 5/16" stainless.

You're right, the stove will outlast us and will be something our kids will fight over to see who gets it. It's the only kind of gear to get, far as I'm concerned, and ends up being far cheaper in the long run than replacing gear that rusts, breaks, or otherwise goes bad.

I actually didn't know it was aluminum! But I will tell you, it is a beautiful piece of gear. Like seriously, it will be one of those classic pieces of gear in the future, I swear.

Oh, I think it already is a classic bit of kit. Highly thought of among river-runners and overlanders alike. They've been quite responsive to user suggestions and with the 22" spaced the grill bars and burners to better accommodate larger pans (burners further apart than originally) and smaller cups (grill bars closer together over the burners).

I've used mine to cook a whole Thanksgiving meal outdoors and literally over a hundred meals of other kinds. Getting ready to test it with a Dutch Oven, too, with a dispersing plate and cover to see how well it does in those areas you can't have an open wood fire.

They make an outstanding grill, too, of anodized aluminum, in different sizes for their different stoves. I have one and have to say it's the best flat grill I've owned. I usually get my Partner stuff from Adventure-Ready, who typically has the best prices.

Looking forward to what else you do for reviews and such.

Cool. I'll stop by when out that way, if you're into it. Just got a GoPro Hero7 Black to augment my Hero5 and have a slew of other camera and pro studio lighting gear. Used to teach off-camera lighting. Sometimes having another experienced hand to help makes shooting vids a bit easier. Might be we can help each other in different places. I wander all over God's creation. You can see my traveling rig in my insta.

Just purchased the Cook Partner 22". Replacing my Coleman FireSgt. I'll keep the coleman as a xtra stove, plenty of room in my hummer h2. I was sold after Jason's review on YouTube.
