Collapsible Silicon Electric Kettles how long do they last

I am thinking of getting one as I like using the regular one but I am thinking saving a bit of storage space with the collapsible silicon ones but am leery as to how long it would last before failing from extending and compacting it over time anyone use one and was this even an issue?

I have been using the non electric version for 4-5 years now with no issues. My only issue was melting with too large of a flame. But if you are using an eletric kettle you shouldn't have that issue.
