Thanks for creating the rally point.

This is the campsite I was talking about going for the first night : Caruthers canyon from I-15.

The only problem being the long drive, about 7h 30min from Bay Area to I-15 exit and then it's about 35 miles on dirt to camp (there is a stop we can make at Goldome Mill it time allow).

So we may want to find a backup campsite which would require less drive and adjust if necessary. We could also do all our shopping in advance so we don't have to stop too long.

I propose we aim for zzyzx / Baker which we should be able to reach around 4-5 pm and then see where we want to go from there depending on time. From zzyzx / baker to carothers canyon is about 80mi so approx 2hrs - if we are good in time definitely reachable. Otherwise we have options near Kelbaker Road ie the (Tank Six 35.175578, -115.775359 - approx 25mi) just of the mojave road.
