Cleaning (and protecting) an emblem on a rig

Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I sprayed 3 coats of clear on mine prior to installing on my rig. [emoji14]I have not mounted mine yet but when I do get them on I will regard any tarnishing, stains etc. as I regard the scratches in my rig and call it "experienced"...
I have not had a chance to put a magnet to it yet but if they are steel Im gonna tack weld them on too...lol

Hello everyone,
Sorry to revive an old thread but was this issue resolved. I love the emblem and want it on the outside but worried about corrosion since there is a lot of salt dropped in my neck of the woods.
