I'm going to build my own chuck box (likely just plywood, maybe some aluminum), and am looking for ideas as to what people have found most useful. I travel pretty light, and I love dual purposing things, so things like lids that flip around to tabletops, or slide-out this or that for accessing things while it's still strapped down, etc, really pique my curiosity. My "deluxe" kit when I'm hauling everything is roughly: Primus stove + fuel, a pair of dish/bowl/cup/spork, knives and cutting board, headlamp/lantern, cleaning supplies, mess kit, coffee making supplies, misc utensils.

I know there's a couple other chuck box threads here; I haven't gotten through them all yet, but they look a bit luxurious so far. :). Hope to hear some creative ideas!

I have an extra collapsible sink you can have. I bought several for my setup- then realized they don't nest together so three white tubs from Walmart actually takes up less space for me. anyway, PM me if you want it.

Well, I can get one off amazon for a couple bucks, so unless it's less than that, it probably makes sense to find a home for it in AZ rather than ship it to CA. But thank you for the offer.
