Hello all!
My name is Martin and I'm located out of the lovely city of Columbus, OH. I'm new to this overlanding shenanagins and I am all ears when it comes to any suggestions, pointers, and ideas y'all might have. Obviously, living in the Midwest I'm not exactly spoiled with ideal overlanding locations, so if anyone has trip ideas (max 1 week in length) lets hear them!
Now, on to the goods:
2004 Jeep TJ (also included is my adventure pup Bennie)
HP D30/Ford 8.8 swap, trussed, locked and chromos
Frankenstein lift
35 inch MTRS on 17 inch AEV beadlocks
1979 Econline Sportsmobile
Pretty much untouched ever since it left Sportsmobile back in '79
The P/O took this van to every National Park in the continental U.S. so I kind of want to carry on that spirit now that it's in my possession.
Put them together and they look something like this:
Overall, I'm still trying to figure out how I want to go about things. Pack light in the Jeep and go far off the beaten track? Or cruise in style in the plush van and stick to gravel and dirt roads? Combine the two? I'm still trying to figure it out, so once again feel free to give your input.
