I've had half a dozen Stratchits from FrontRunner Outfitters for over two years and more than 600 nights out and use them more than any other strap, ratchet strap, or turnbuckle solution. I use them to cross strap large gear to the smooth rolling cover on my trailer, to strap stuff to my rack in front of the RTT, and to strap stuff to the crossbars on my van.

Someone asked above if they're worth the price. Hell yeah, is my answer. SO much easier and more convenient to use than other solutions, and I love the way they adjust and stretch and stay super secure. The durable soft coating on the straps won't abrade or scratch gear, like some buckles and straps will. You can get them on amzn but less expensively at Exploration Outfitters in OK, the great guys who are exclusive US dealers for the Patriot Campers. They have a ton of other FrontRunner and other stuff too; it's where I got most of my gear years ago.

I do suggest switching out the carabiner clips on the ends if you're going to be clipping to heavy duty tie downs as the opening isn't always wide enough. Upgrade to stainless too, while you're at it.

Hard to see in this image, but they are what's holding down the entire load between trailer and overhead rack, hooked to the tie downs on the side of my trailer and cross-strapped over to the other side:

I often keep one stretched between the tie-downs on each side of the trailer, ready to go:

But overall, hell yeah, if you're out here regularly using gear hard, you can't beat Stratchits.

Those look similar to the Rok Straps I just got. Much better designs. I have some retractable ratchet which while pretty convenient they are are to loosen up. The release mechanisms never seem to be reliable. The striped side is bungee material.

I purchased mine from Lead Dog Motorsports after I picked up my trailer from them.

I am in the need for a few truck straps. Tired of using generic turnbuckle straps for my roof rack.

Looking for something for my fuel and water canisters as well as bins that are easier to tighten than turnbuckles style.

What are you all using? Ive seen the "Ultimate Bungee" but not sure if it is a gimmick or functional.
You might want to try cam buckle straps or ratchet straps for securing your fuel and water canisters. They’re easier to tighten than turnbuckles. The Ultimate Bungee can be functional for quick securing, but check reviews to see if it fits your needs. Brands like Keeper and ProTaper also have good options worth considering.

If I didn't have a bucket load of rachet straps, I would buy some Matt's straps.

Using standard 1 and 2 inch ratchet straps you can get anywhere, and some Thule branded "load straps model 523" and a couple Thule 855XT "quick draw"s.

You can tell a quality ratchet strap, and many inexpensive ones are of perfectly good quality. Just make sure the mechanism doesn't rust up. I once had a kayak fly off the roof of my WJ with little more notice than a a second of change in the wind noise. The ratchet strap had rusted a bit but I used it anyway. "Seemed safe." But it wasnt.

Two around, one front, one rear.
