Awesome photo! The picture says it all: after a great day, like-minded people swapping exciting stories around a warming campfire. A great community.

I haven’t camped there but I’ve spent quite a few days jeeping. The hole in the wall trail was pretty cool, the rock formations and climbing through was fun. There’s also camping spots by the base of the New York mountains, there’s a mine up the road a little ways from the camping spots also. It’s been a few years so guess my memory is a little fuzzy, but I wasn’t really disappointed by any of the major “attractions” there.

Yep it is a great place to get off road. Overland Bound has done Trail Guardian projects in the Preserve for five years, one of the projects was to document over 600 dispersed sites to camp.
