All the good overland series have been mentioned. I'm going to throw out DC's Arrow. Lots of episodes and a pretty good watch.

I feel your pain. I brook my foot a couple of years ago and was couched for almost an entire summer. It is when I discovered his forum which helped me keep my sanity.

One I enjoyed that I don't think I have seen mentioned was Campervan Culture. They have a great series about an Over Land trip from England to Morocco.

I found if I spread it all out and not being watched one series all at once it helped. It is a double edged sword. Fills the time but also makes the pain of sitting around getting nothing done that much worse.

Good time to study up for a Ham license if you don't have one.

Good luck on the recovery. When you get to the physical therapy fallow the instructions. It dose help in the end.

Alright, then I've got nothing, since you watch all the same stuff I'm watching currently.

...although, if you want to branch out, the 1953 movie "Wages of Fear" involves trucks driving treacherous roads (complete with boulders, switchbacks, water hazards and washboards) while carrying unsecured nitroglycerine. It's sorta like overlanding with a bomb on your truck. It's an awesome white-knuckle experience, and should appeal to OB types. Here's a trailer:

Cool! I've heard bits about this before but didn't know there was a film to go with it. Thanks!

"The Grand Tour" on Amazon is good. It's the same guys from "Top Gear" (the British/good version) doing basically the same show. You have watched their "Top Gear" Bolivia special right?

Not overland related, but personally, I'd watch the entire series of "Archer" again if I were in your shoes (or shoe/cast combo).
Yeah finished the GT in the first week:)

Archer is a great idea, it's been a while since I've watched an episode. Here's a funny story related to the show.

A couple years ago, around Thanksgiving, I came home and found a discarded shoulder bag on the street in front of my house. Sadly, it wasn't the first time it's happened.

Anyways, I grab it and go in the house, look inside and see a name an phone number on some paperwork. I didn't really pay attention to the name and called the number. On the other end a lady answered and I asked if this was Aisha. She replied, rather shortly, "Yes, who's this?" I said my name was Brenton and asked if she was missing a shoulder bag. Again she said "Yes", but this time it was in a much more unsure tone.

I explained that I had found a bag in front of my house and called the only number I could find. She couldn't believe someone was calling her about the bag. Turns out her boyfriend's bag was also stolen (in Oakland, I'm at Candlestick in SF) and they were both missing laptops. I told her my address she said she will be at my door in about an hour.

Now, while I'm getting this sorted on the phone, my wife is checking her name. We both recognize it, but can't really believe it would be the same Aisha Tyler from Archer. An hour later there's a knock on the door. I open the door and sure as, well you know, it's her! I still couldn't believe it! We make our intros, and I hand her the bag. She offers me a cash reward which I refuse. I'm just happy to help anybody, especially when it's Thanksgiving!

She thanks me again and heads back to her car. My wife, from the top of the stairs, asks if it was her. I said yes and my wife said that I should say something. At this point Aisha had to have been 100' away and out of sight from the house so I just yell "Go Archer!!!" I heard a big laugh and one last "Thank you!".

Well a week later there's an unexpected package delivered to the house. I open it up and find a copy of her book and the first three seasons of Archer on dvd. She autographed each item to me and included a nice note within the book. It was a really nice gesture from her.

So that's my Archer/Aisha Tyler story.

The Archer story is AWESOME! Karma does pay off sometimes. I loved Mr Robot! flew through that in a few days when I saw it. Longmire is a good one. All the Marvel shows. The Expanse is a good watch. Presently one of my favorite shows going on.
