Although it was not a big overland trip, I did take some friends and family on a fishing trip to some farm-ponds about 1.5 hours drive from where I live. I got to try out my new blackstone griddle, which my wife purchased for me. I've used it once to cook dinner for myself but this was my first time cooking for a group on it. We had 8 adults and 2 kids. Cooked some excellent burgers on it and really liked being about to crank-out a bunch for a group with a good amount of speed. Everyone was able to eat at the same time. I am really pleased with the portability of this unit. It is a bit bigger and heavier than a coleman stove, and you are limited to always using the griddle surface. I keep a single burner with me for things that require liquid in a pot, but I think this will serve my needs well, otherwise. This is the 22" model. Can run camp size gas bottles or can be adapted quickly to a full-size propane bottle (which I appreciate at home).

Same thing we use, a Blackstone and a single burner. The Blackstone will handle 90% or better of what I eat when we're camping. Single burner takes care of coffee or soup.
