Not really overland as I think the definition relates more to vehicle(gas or diesel )dependent travel but wanted to see if anyone else is into this.
I have ridden my bike along the U.S. from Canada to Mexico a couple of times, through Japan and from Copenhagen to Portugal. Camping every night.
Really makes you realize how little you need to survive and how powerful our bodies can be. Im no spring chicken and not in the best of shape, so it takes a bit of time to get places. But the pay off is so great. Really makes you in touch with nature that you can never feel in a car.
Im so used to light weight camping that I end up with tons of space in my Landcruiser when I go on a trip!
