nice.
i was born and raised in san angelo and never went to big bend until 35 years after i graduated and left the state...its very remote and spread out, but a pretty cool experience.
@Leeaekdb...we went a few years ago and it was very easy to navigate the unpaved roads. some of the roads/trails are a bit rocky and bumpy, but i dont recall anything that would require 4x4 or high clearance. id say the average pickup would do fine as well as the higher riding vehicles like the subaru forester and suv types like that...definitely wouldnt want to take a car thats low to the ground...might tag that oil pan, but overall id think you could go about anywhere you would want as long as you drive slow.
the park is really spread out and pretty much anything worth seeing is going to have a well maintained or even paved road going to it. we did one off road trek that was super bumpy and took several hours to complete and basically all we saw was plain desert that was boring.
