Best electric cooler

Hello Everybody. I’m looking to get an electric cooler but wandering what everybody’s using and what do they think about them.

I had an iceco, Bougerv, both 55's and just gave one to a friend and use the other for short trips and for longer I got an Iceco VL90 and love it!

All of them have been great, the 55's you can get on sale for like a couple hundred bucks.

Excellent and no ice, ever again!

I’ve used this on 5 trips and lent it to my nephew twice in 2 1/2 years.

It’s been great, and for the price I don’t think you can go wrong.

No ice is really a game changer!

Mine is a 35 liter single zone fridge/freezer (you choose the setting and deal!)

I fit 4 days of must-be-refrigerated food for 8 people in it. Planning the menu, stripping packaging, etc. are keys to success.

Items touching the inside walls and floor of the cooler are subject to freezing even at refrigerator temps, so beware if that. Frozen bacon? Okay. Frozen lettuce? Not okay.

I figured a cheap cooler was a good way to find out if I loved it. And I do.

I’ve been using the Dometic CFX3 and it’s been awesome—keeps things cold or even frozen without ice. It’s super efficient and quiet. Great for road trips and camping. Just make sure your vehicle can handle the power draw, especially if you're parked for a while. Definitely worth it if you’re tired of dealing with melted ice!

I know this post is a few months old but will echo what others have stated, it’s worth the investment and not worrying about getting ice for your cooler is great. I have two different ones now, larger one we carry when we go to our property in west tx along with a smaller one for extra food or those weekend get aways. Both of mine are ICECO’s, 5 year warranty on the compressor, you may also find one used time to time on FB marketplace.

Really like my alpicools. Got 3 of them.

Two 35s ans a 55 quart.

They all have LG compressors, Bluetooth app, and work really well and do not draw a ton of energy.

The 35q lives in my jeep full time, 365 days a year. The smaller side is on 0° and larger side is 35°. My 1024wh battery is always full by noon, 120w panel on roofrack.

It's been on about 2 or 3 years daily and hasn't skipped a beat. If it goes out, I'd immediately the same one assuming it's still made, or whatever else they make.

I had a Dometic, and it's always given me issues with power draw and the 12v cord doesn't sit right in the port and sometimes will shutoff when driving.
