Bed rack ???

Ok, North Carolina allergies and work have slowed me down, but I finally installed my bed rack and took some photos. I will be bracing it with unistrut, adding a 270' awning, and engineering fold out arms to replace the hammock stand.View attachment 147537

Lol soo I started to attempt welding in my risers... my friend's son laughed at me and said he’ll burn them in for me ( kid can weld!)... weather permitting he will finish up both sides tomorrow, and we’ll plan the roof rack over the cab! And a dude gets thirsty watching the kid work!

Oh I’m using unistrut also... how far apart you you looking to run yours... I’m running two front to back... on both sides of the truck... not sure on my spacing yet?

Got bored and decided to put a temporary swing out on my bumper... bumper will be replaced when I get to making it.... jerry can holder,box for recover straps etc... and a spot for my trasharoo.

I decided on the Nomadic from Overland Vehicle Systems. I wanted one with a full wall system and my intent is to use it as my tent. There are only three brands that have a forward swing that can provide protection over the cab of the truck, and OVS is the cheapest of those three.

Well a lot cooler weather today soo welding we shall do! Removed rack from truck to weld roof rack (expanded metal and few support bars over the cab... and my truck looks sad without it?

All done for the day ! Rack done! Need to paint it mount my overhead lights and put it back on the bed. Anyone need a welder / fan guy hit me up Aaron is a mobile welder !

Painted the new addition... got it mounted back on the truck!have to try out the new hammock!
