We are in the process of upfitting the van that we purchased. We're trying to figure out what the best backup camera and dash camera to use. There is a backup camera in the van but a rather lame one - backup piece shows in the left 1/4 of the rear view mirrors. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The other piece of my question to all of you is this -- we are trying to figure out if it's possible to setup the electronics, vehicle diagnostics and such via a bluetooth capable tablet computer. If that makes sense? So you would possibly run the backup camera, video from dash cam download to the tablet, and any possible bluetooth/wife capable items.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.!

Simply put, Yes.
I don't have a suggestion for you on camera choice (need to put on on my cruiser too). There's a few different pieces of software for diagnostics. I ran Torque for a while and now I use the software that came with my blue tooth adapter. If your running an Apple tablet, some of the blue tooth adapters (dongles) don't work correctly (I have an I pad). You would just toggle between the camera and diagnostics.
Here is the one I run OBD 2. Their site shows out of stock but I got mine from Amazon. I chose that one because of the compatibility with Apple and the refresh rate. I use mine in a professional environment. If all your doing is monitoring, a lesser one will work.

Thank you!
Hubby is looking at the OBD reader from Snap-On Tools. Expensive but can be used on any and all vehicles that have a computer. Probably won't use an iPad but a windows based tablet instead.

Thanks for the input! It's much appreciated.
