The Event
In partnership with the fine folks of Heart of Texas Off Road Club, and the Hidden Falls Adventure Off Road Park, I am putting on a dual event for ARRL Field Day this year.
Come out Hidden Falls Adventure Park (Near Marble Falls, TX) for a couple of nights of camping and Wheeling/Rock Crawling. Field Day (The radio portion of the event) operates from Noon Saturday until Noon Sunday. I will be running an HF radio station for ARRL Field Day at the top of the park near the radio tower. Come by to learn more about ham radio, and maybe even make contacts on the air. Not to mention an epic view!
About Field Day
Field Day is an annual amateur radio exercise encouraging emergency communications preparedness among amateur radio operators. In the United States, it is typically the largest single emergency preparedness exercise in the country, with over 30,000 operators participating each year.
