ARB Awning 1250 Installation Questions

I currently have a basically stock 2012 Jeep Liberty with 2WD. My goal is to get a roof basket and an ARB awning for some small adventures. I was looking at the 1250 and i think that will suit my needs, the area I am unsure of, is will the awning mount to to a roof basket, and if so, what length basket do i need to hold the 1250?

If this has been asked before, i apologize, I used the search and didnt see anything that answered my question.

Hey @COharbinger, since you're running a basket you should be able to use the ARB Universal Awning Bracket with U-bolts on the top rail of the basket that runs parallel to the awning, or there's the FourTreks Modular Awning Mounts. My problem with these brackets is that they can't be used to bolt to a crossbar that's perpendicular to the awning, for that scenario you'd need to build something or shell out some cash for these Bomber Products Awn-Lock.

If the ARB ones don't work, give Greg at Gzila a shout. He has several clamps on his site that come in different sizes that are made for doing exactly what you want. He's at the FJSummit right now so I wouldn't try to contact him for the next week, but his products are excellent.
