Question for those who have more experience with APRSdroid than myself:
I have been using APRSdroid with a mobilinkd2 through a Yaesu HT. I received an FTM-100 for Christmas and, and while it does APRS, it can't do APRS and voice at the same time like the FTM-400 can. This is fine, since I normally don't need both capabilities at the same time.
However, I'd like to be able to use voice on my 100 and still do APRS on a big upcoming road trip, but don't want to install a second antenna on the Jeep (and I don't have much confidence in using even a small whip on the HT), I'm contemplating using APRSdroid through the internet on my phone. This would allow me to beacon my position for family to check in on me, as well as beacon a frequency for people to contact me via voice.
Would incoming phone calls disrupt APRSdroid/cause interference?
