Going up the Haul Road this summer, where broken windshields and headlights are common. Looking for a product to add some protection. Found ClearPlex. Wondering if anyone can recommend it, or an alternative?

What are you thinking, it goes in front of the windshield or in place of the windshield?

How about expanded metal in front of the windshield, I've seen that on some old-school desert trucks.

Not sure expanded metal would be street legal. ClearPlex is the same product they sell to protect your smart phone. It's an optically clear laminate, that goes over your windshield (like window tint, but clear).
