Antenna slection questions

I am installing a GMRS, Midland 575 and a Ham, a nos Kenwood TM-V71A. I was thinking about mounting on the cross rails of my Alucab Canopy Camper and was wondering about if thats a good placement especialy since I have solar panels. Not sure how that would effect all. 2' max height of the Antenna's is most I would want. Need Antenna recomendations etc. Thanks.

I use this one on both my rigs. Robust enough to hit a branch and not be damaged. The SWR is also good for Gmrs.
