Enthusiast III

Hey there.

I just joined as I was looking at pics of Trooper builds on here. I've had a 2001 for about a year and just bought a 1999 manual on Friday with 100k on it. I am psyched to start building it up. Right now I am taking all of the aftermarket off the 2001 and putting it on the 99. Getting ready to swap the OME springs this week. The pics are the 01, but the 99 will look the same in white.

I live in Dewey which is about 1/2 hour east of Prescott. I have been in this area for 18 years. I love it and love that it is a destination for overlanders. That other overland forum is based out of here.

I am pretty experienced at wheeling but not an expert by any means. I've had numerous 4x4s in the past and have done plenty of trips. Right now I am in grad school and have very little time, but the semester is over in a month and I am ready to get out.

Welcome from Germany! I’m looking forward to watching your rig evolves. A bit envious of your location - A wheeling and adventure mecca. Enjoy the forums!

4rnr in AZforest -50.jpg Welcome from SoCal! Best pizza anywhere is Bill's on the square across from the courthouse in Prescott! Here's a pic from just a few miles south of there on the 89 on my way home after buying my 4Runner a few weeks ago.

You came all the way out to Prescott to buy a 4runner!? Nice looking rig!

Next time you're in town, try Rosa 's pizza on Gurley just off the square. Good stuff. Just like the zza back in Jersey.
