Here's is my intro post. I joined OB about a month ago and I'm just not getting to posting this. Been reading and lurking for awhile now. I'm not new to off roading, camping, adventure'n, but this community / lifestyle I'm drawn to. My current rig is an 08 Xterra with the Off Road package, so that means D44 in the rear, E-locker in the rear, some weak skids, and down hill assist. Only a few "mods" right now. As I this vehicle was my wife's form 08 to 15. So it has a budget lift (coil spacer & AAL, I'm about 1/3 of the way saved up for the ever so popular Titan swap). I'm currently waiting for a set of Hefty sliders to get finished being fab'd, should be ready around Memorial day weekend just in time for summer. 285 75 R16 KO2s for tires and a 2* timing advance is a slight bump in low end power. I started my automotive carrier as a lube tech for a Nissan, now I'm a full blown tech for Audi and love it. Haven't wheeled too much in the Xterra as it was the wife's truck for years. I used to have an 04 supercharged Frontier, I loved the practicality of the truck but I bent tie rods several times on the trail and blew a head gasket in Moab during the gonemoab 2013 event. The 2nd Gen just holds up a lot better. I've got a 2 year old and a wife that isn't too fond of camping me than 2 nights in a row so as my son grows he'll be my Overland buddy. Looking forward to this summer of smaller 1 and 2 day trips. Planning on hitting the alpine loop in August also like to run Red Cone and a few other trails when they fit the schedule. Only have a couple of pics of the rigs. The Xterra in the shop(my office) is how it currently looks.

Greetings from Colorado Springs. It seems like there is quite a few of us showing up from Colorado recently. And I'm jealous of your shop BTW. With a 4x4 van I'm always working on it in the Colorado weather.

Welcome. I'm thinking about adding an Xterra to my stable. I have worked on plenty, including timing chain guide replacement and even cylinder head replacement when I worked for Nissan. I've always liked the Xterras.
