Always a new trail to explore...

Started off chatting with an old time logger and scoped out a trail worth exploring......Yard Creek Road to the end, then up an active logging trail, then branched off onto an abandon trail. Started off at 1195 ft above sea level and topped off at to 4818 ft with an average grade of 15%. I had to turn back as the weather was starting to turn and trail conditions can change quickly.

I like the way the clouds reflect off of the windshield! At first I thought it was snow piled up.

So far on this trip into the back country I have seen 4 bears and one cougar.

Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of the cougar. Off all the years exploring mountain trails I have never seen a cougar... WOW, they are big and fast! Out of the four people I was with only two of us saw the cougar

Now, I'm on the look out for Sasquatch.....

I have seen lots of bears this year!

Followed some sketchy directions with very shallow water crossing....Looks a bit too deep and soft to try crossing.
