Eventually, when I have the extra cash, I'll be redoing the entire suspension on the 17 Tacoma trd sport which is stock. Right now, I have installed the Decked system in the bed and I scored a Fab Fours Overland rack for the over the bed, and we have sagged about 1.5 to 2 inches. Leaf springs seem soft and creaked. Was going to add a leaf but a coworker told me to add airbags instead, said the ride was better. So I got these Air lift ride controls installed and instantly I get those two inches back. I have some class 4 roads that I like to drive down including getting up to the family wood lot, which isn't a road at all, more like a trail. My question is, how do these things hold up in the long run.

They hold up well enough as long as they aren't empty. I believe theres a minimum 5psi limit. Its common to have slow leaks after install as well as having some develop later on, so its important check your pressures regularly and address leaks as you find them.

When they're left empty, they start to crack and split at the flex points similar to a tire.

While I cant speak directly to the toyota variant, I can say that there are many sets at the 10 year mark or better still on the road.

Just like anything else they will wear out over time. Some of the issues to look for are dry rotting which take a few years usually, sticks on the trail are now an enemy since they can poke through the bag and leave you riding on the internal bump stops, and the air hoses ripping off if you've run them to a compressor instead of using Schrader valves individually, ive only used them to tow over rated loads so can't speak to their offroadability.

This here is my rig so far.
I'm Carrying around 500lbs in the bed everyday all day. That rack weighs about 300lbs by itself, but it's too sweet to take off. My wife and I intended on a RTT on it but we like to tent it on the ground and already have that gear for hiking.

In the future, I'd like to get about 2 inches of lift to fit some 33s but I don't think I'd go bigger than that. Needs new wheels before all that happens.
