But I'm usually going for sharks as a volunteer for a sport fish research project to measure, tag and release.
I like catching them and it does some good at the same time.

Kayak fishing off of vandenberg afb. Decent full limit, 2 lingcod, 2 cabezon, 1 grassy and blues and browns to round it off. I couldn’t buy a vermilion that day... fortunately no white sharks though.
