Earlier today I put my 06 Tacoma in 4H, when I took it out of 4 wheel drive the ABS and Brake light stayed on I’m my dash board. Does anyone know what could have caused this or how to fix it??
Could be as simple as one of your front tires spun a bit causing enough of a speed differential between wheel ends to trigger a fault. Usually those faults will clear themselves, but light duty MFGs do things differently sometimes. I would say just swing though a parts store, borrow their scanner and see what the code is. If its a wheel speed sensor I would just clear out the fault and see if it comes back. If its something else you may need to dig deeper. Another big thing to do is just to check the wires and connections at each wheel end, the connections and wires for wheel speed sensors are where 90% of ABS failures occur.
