Got a gig as a photographer for a big RC crawler event a few weeks ago, here we are on our way home after camping two nights!

IMG_0746.jpg

Last weekend we spent a little time out in the woods, 5.7 miles of trails in 45 minutes Friday night, 13.6 miles of trails in 5.5 hours Saturday day. One night camping, a little mud, a few rocks and some good navigating!

I didn't get many action shots, and the rest of my pictures are on the go pro at work, I'll try to get them up soon.

The old girl cleaned up fairly well!

IMG_0751.JPG

Had a little bit of a Christmas in October today, CB parts, tablet mount, USB ports for the dash, snatch strap and tree saver.

Also had two of my speakers show up, Rockford Fosgate R1 Prime. 5.25" for the rear, 4" coming tomorrow for the front, a 12" 500W sub to fit snugly into the sleeping platform in the works, and I'll need to get a definite size for the speakers over the rear window.

IMG_0752.jpg

I got the 4' Firestik installed, hood channel mount, fire-ring cable, heavy duty spring.

IMG_0755.JPG

CB and USB outlet installed comfortably, did not have screws for the tablet mount unfortunately.

IMG_0758.jpg

The CB radio nearly perfectly replaced the useless ashtray and fits phenomenally!

What a mall crawler!

Well that proves that ashtray pockets are good for something...LOL. Are you going to make the cigarette outlet a USB outlet? And your rig cleans up well. :sunglasses:

In the panel below the CB radio is a dual USB outlet, there used to be a little pocket attached to the the front of this but I removed it because it was so small and in a funky place that it really served no purpose. I'll be adding another cigarette lighter to the left of that. And potentially an inverter with a remote face plate to the left of that.

Thanks!

Today is my one year anniversary with the 4runner!

IMG_0773.jpg

Here's what it looked like one year ago when I dropped it off, and what it looks like today!

So much more to come soon!

I also have a small collection of pictures to share from our little excursion last weekend! I'll have those up soon!

Pictures from the weekend in Gorges State Park, NC.

Early morning right on the river.

My buddies ZJ, and the 4Runner!

An old Toyota Tercel Alltrac that someone managed to drag all the way up into the woods.

The view from one camp site we found.

More coming soon!

Today at The Flats Offroad Park in Marion, NC.

Group leader testing out the new locker in his Jeep.

Another Jeep member!

Group pictures hiding one Jeep.

Close friends ZJ, again.

The odd one out, today!

Rock play for group pictures again.

Brand new JL playing along, can't miss the incredibly bright paint on this guy!

Checking out how this one flexes!

And my favorite part of the day, watching this tiny Viair compressor air up my 35's (And quickly, too!), even though it's only supposed to be good for 33's.

Great build, will it run highway speeds with the 3.0? I’ve I’ve got a 1995 3.0 auto 4Runner I’ve been debating on building but in concerned about lack of power with big tires.

It doesn't get there fast but it ran 80-ish all the way to and from the off road park, except for the grade on the way back. Can't answer for an auto, this one is a 5 speed.
